The Y-Connect is Yamaha’s latest innovation that connects man and machine
digitally. This application is a brand exclusive that links your smart phone
directly to your Yamaha motorcycle.
These days there’s an app for everything. There’s one for banking, shopping,
food delivery, games, exercise, mental health, movies and series, name it and
there’s an app for it. But what about for your motorcycle? Yamaha started that
off with the Rev Buddy and that’s for your servicing and purchasing needs. But
for the company, that is not enough, and your experience can be elevated by
connecting you and your machine like never before. This led to the creation of
Y-Connect, the state-of-the-art application developed by Yamaha that links you
with your motorcycle.
WHAT IS THE Y-CONNECT APPLICATION?
The Y-Connect application from Yamaha allows riders to link with their Yamaha motorcycles that have CCU (Communication Control Unit) Technology on their smart phone. This gives them access to various features and information that elevates their riding experience.

Provides everything you need to maximize your riding experience (RPM, economical driving acceleration, intake manifold temp & radiator water temp and more).
FUEL CONSUMPTION TRACKER
Track your fuel usage when you ride and plot re-fueling stops for your trips. Previous logs can also be tracked for efficient planning of your next ride.
MALFUNCTION NOTIFICATION
You will be notified of any electrical and engine malfunction to your motorcycle and you will be advised to go to the nearest shop for servicing. You will have access to your malfunction record and diagnostic information which is sent to your email and the option to send it to the shop where you purchased your motorcycle.
TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
You’ll never miss your next maintenance service appointment when you receive automatic recommendations for your engine oil and battery voltage.
PARKING LOCATION
CONVENIENT LOCATION
The Y-Connect app records your motorcycle’s last known paired location. This allows you to easily locate where you parked, especially in unfamiliar areas.
(Pairing remains up to 3 meters and if connected to the internet.)

Yamaha has not revealed which motorcycles will get the Y-Connect feature, but I'm guessing it's likely to be installed on the new Nmax and Aerox models just like in the Indonesian market.
