Your Complete Commuters' Guide to UV Express/FX Terminals in Metro Manila

UPDATED January, 2020

Metro Manila’s hordes of workers pour in by UV Express.

UV Express vans are all air conditioned, seat an average of 14 passengers and charge relatively cheap compared to the usual metered taxicabs. Their fares range from as low as P20 to as high as P50 per passenger.

With the LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board) serving as regulator of the UV Express franchise, the commuter vans has increased its service routes exponentially all around the country, including Metro Manila.

Love languages of fatherhood served with Ihaw-Sarap and Unli-Saya!

How Filipino dads show they care with Mang Inasal grilled favorites Fatherhood is often expressed not through grand declarations, but through quiet, everyday gestures. For many Filipino dads, love looks like picking up the kids from school despite a long workday, bringing home food for the family, fixing things around the house, or simply making time to share a meal. While they may not always say “I love you” out loud, their actions often speak louder than words. This Father’s Day, Mang Inasal celebrates the many ways fathers express their love—from quality time and acts of service to shared experiences that bring families closer together. Quality time and words of affirmation: Conversations served at the table For dad content creator Paul Santiago, some of the most meaningful conversations happen around the dining table. “As a father, I realized that bonding does not always have to be big or elaborate,” he shared. “Sometim...

What the LTO says about changing mag wheels, rims and tires of your car, motorcycle

The new LTO PMVIC, or the Land Transportation Office - Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Centers, has started operations in some parts of the country for inspections of cars and motorcycles due for registration renewal. Dubbed as MVIS (Motor Vehicle Inspection System), it aims to test the roadworthiness of private and commercial vehicles prior to their registration. This also includes the checking of modifications, upgrades and accessories that have been installed on your vehicles - whether factory or aftermarket. If they don't meet LTO standards, you fail the test. Failing the MVIS test means you have to retake the inspection and worse, you can't register your vehicle any more. For purposes of discussion, I chose to talk about wheels and tires because they are the most frequently modified parts of our cars and motorcycles. Now comes the question: Is it considered illegal to replace your wheels with aftermarket mag wheels? Can those u...

But today, Google has now made the clothes shopping process easier. Today, Google is expanding access to its apparel try-on tool, which will start rolling out in the Philippines in the coming weeks. The feature makes the online shopping experience more personal, allowing you to virtually try apparel on yourself just by uploading a photo. It preserves these subtleties when applied to poses in your photos – so the result lets you see how a piece of clothing would look on you, instead of seeing just a still picture or on a model.
