Your Complete Commuters' Guide to UV Express/FX Terminals in Metro Manila

UPDATED January, 2020

Metro Manila’s hordes of workers pour in by UV Express.

Times are a-changing. With the increasing temperature in the metropolis coupled by its worsening traffic condition, a newer, more convenient alternative of transporting people had risen above all else.

They're called the commuter vans, or what are now popularly known as the Utility Vehicle (UV) Express and FX vans.

UV Express vans are all air conditioned, seat an average of 14 passengers and charge relatively cheap compared to the usual metered taxicabs. Their fares range from as low as P20 to as high as P50 per passenger.

With the LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board) serving as regulator of the UV Express franchise, the commuter vans has increased its service routes exponentially all around the country, including Metro Manila.

₱10 Off Per Liter? The truth about the new fuel tax law every Filipino needs to know

Gas at the Pump: Will RA 12316 actually save your wallet? For every Filipino driver and commuter, the weekly fuel price announcement feels like a game of Russian Roulette. As global oil prices climb, the cost of jeepney fares, grocery deliveries, and the daily drive to work has become a heavy burden. This May 2026, the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) officially kicks off its maiden voyage, prioritizing a dedicated Point-to-Point (P2P) service that links Imus directly to One Ayala. While the original blueprint aimed for a PITX connection, developers pivoted to address the most urgent need: a direct line for the workforce powering Makati’s central business distric...

Commuters' Guide To P2P Bus Stations/Routes, Locations, Schedules And Prices

I make at least a dozen trips to Makati every year, traveling to client meetings for work and pleasure – mostly by MRT (Metro Rail Transit), seldom by car. A car is not the best way to experience EDSA (obviously), so if I can't get an MRT ride and I don't want to use my car, my other option is by bus. I have to admit, I have my reservations when it comes to buses. Buses doesn’t exactly have the best reputation in Metro Manila. But after talking to friends who’ve been riding the Premium Point-To-Point buses, one of the first thing they make a point to say is that it’s nothing like the P2P Bus experience. Well, that was enough to convince me to give it a go. In an attempt to compare the two main travel options operating along EDSA, I traveled south to Makati on a P2P bus in the morning and returned to Quezon City on board the MRT in the afternoon (with just enough time in between to squeeze lunch at the Glorietta). What I found: The P2P bus ride was comfortable, rela...

Summer in the Philippines is not just about beach trips or out-of-town plans. For many, it lives in everyday moments like merienda breaks , barkada hangouts , and quick cool-down stops after a long day. To match this shift, Jollibee , the country's no. 1 fastfood chain, has introduced its “ Summer Delights ,” a selection built around refreshment, affordability, and shareable joy. “Summer brings out a different kind of energy in Filipinos.
