In a symbolic gesture of giving back, the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF) received a special donation from Araneta Hotels Inc. (AHI) during a ceremonial turnover on June 19.
The donation was part of the prize money won by Novotel and ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, both being managed by AHI, after emerging as global champions in the Accor Choir Games last December 2024. The donation will fund JAAF programs on scholarships, youth development, and education.
Present during the turnover ceremony were (from left) Darwin Labayandoy, Novotel Hotel Manager; Diane Romero, JAAF Executive Director; Rowell Recinto, JAAF Trustee and Araneta Group Senior Management Consultant; Maria Garcia, Cluster General Manager; Felicia Ayechanmon, ibis Styles Resident Manager; and Kristine Alba, Cluster Talent and Culture Director.
Novotel Manila Araneta City and ibis Styles Manila Araneta City are the first Novotel and ibis Styles hotels in the Philippines. Both are strategically located within Araneta City's Gateway Square, and are interconnected with other developments through sky bridges and pedestrian malls, providing a complete urban experience – lodging, parking, shopping, dining, and entertainment. They are part of Accor, a world-leading augmented hospitality group that offers unique and meaningful experiences in 4,900 hotels, resorts, and residences across 110 countries.
