SM San Mateo, the 52nd SM mall in PH, opens


Shoppers living within the San Mateo district can now enjoy the SM experience without having to travel far from home.

SM City San Mateo, the 52nd SM shopping mall to open in the country and the fourth SM mall within the Rizal province, opens on May 15.

Having a gross floor area of 80, 043 square meters, the newest SM mall is nearly 90% full with their signature tenants Ace Hardware, BDO, SM Appliance Center, SM Cinema, SM Supermarket, Surplus Shop, The SM Store, and Watsons.

The mall has four levels: the first three consisting of shopping, dining and entertainment spaces and BPO offices at the fourth level.

SM Prime Holdings, owned by the Philippines' richest man Henry Sy, plans to open three more malls in the Philippines by the end of the year, with the scheduled opening of SM Center Sangandaan in Caloocan, SM Seaside City Cebu and SM City Cabanatuan.

The new LTO PMVIC, or the Land Transportation Office - Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Centers, has started operations in some parts of the country for inspections of cars and motorcycles due for registration renewal. Dubbed as MVIS (Motor Vehicle Inspection System), it aims to test the roadworthiness of private and commercial vehicles prior to their registration. This also includes the checking of modifications, upgrades and accessories that have been installed on your vehicles - whether factory or aftermarket.
