When you want to avoid traffic jams, try motorcycle-for-rent


Need to go around in Metro Manila the fastest way? Rent a motorcycle.

Motorcycle Adventures Philippines, Inc. (MAPI) offers a solution to all your traffic woes, an alternative travel experience for tourists -- and maybe even for Pinoys -- who want to avoid traffic.

According to Manila Bulletin, MAPI's motorcycle-for-rent is currently catering to visiting foreigners who wants to tour the country minus the traffic jams.  

At present, MAPI offers the following tours:

The Tagaytay/Taal/Matabungkay Guided Tour, which takes two days and one night including motorcycle rent, tour guide, gasoline, meals and hotel priced at $310.

The Manila Guided Tour, which is a half day tour, and includes motorcycle, tour guide and gasoline, is at $45.

The tour, however, is not limited to Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The customer may also opt to travel to any parts of the country.

The MAPI office is located at the Manila Airport Hotel at the NAIA Terminal 1 Complex where a tourist can walk in and rent a bike straight from his flight. He must have a valid motorcyle driver's license and passport.

MAPI currently offers 10 motorbikes of different sizes and shapes. Among these are two Piaggio Zip 100cc automatic scooters, two LML Star 200s with manual gearboxes, a Honda XR200 enduro, a Yamaha XT600 adventure, a Honda SLR 650 adventure, a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Adventure and a BMW GS1200.

According to owner Cheggy Medina, MAPI has five tour guides who are not only experienced riders but also homegrown to the travel spots they handle. Two of them are professional riding instructors. Cheggy added.
