Binibining Pilipinas candidate Theresa Fenger had reportedly backed-out of the pageant allegedly due to her racy photos from FHM magazine.

According to Rappler, Fenger was not disqualified but backed out on her own accord because of competition rules that her sexy photos supposedly violated.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc., the organization behind the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, enforces a rule that candidates who have posed for sexy men's magazines are to be disqualified.

Though Binibining Pilipinas has yet to release an official statement, their list of Binibining Pilipinas 2013 candidates on their website no longer includes Theresa Fenger.

Fenger was formerly a member of an all girl group called Eurasia. She was known as Lana Roi then. The group posed for FHM Philippines and the photo below was published in the magazine’s May 2010 edition.

Meanwhile, KC Gonzalez Cajandig from General Santos City (the same city of Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup) has been chosen to replace Fenger as candidate number 35.

In the entertainment section of Prince George Free Press, Teresa Mallam reports that Fenger is a pop star in the Philippines and her all-girl band Eurasia enjoys the same celebrity status as the Pussycat Dolls in the U.S. Theresa Fenger, “Trinky,” gets treated like royalty wherever she goes.

The 23-year-old jet sets all over the world, stays in first-class hotels, socializes with the rich and famous, has her own limousine driver, and bodyguards to protect her from overeager fans.

Lana Roi (her stage name) sings, dances, models for major magazines and writes songs. She cut her first album at 15, the same year she won Songwriter of the Year in Nashville.

Now she heads up Eurasia, a band whose members are all an ethnic mix of European and Asian. The group is working on a new CD for Viva Records.

Watching her career soar is proud father Ewald Fenger, who lives in Prince George but just returned from a three-month stay in the Philippines.

He always knew she’d be a star.

“When she was five years old she’d be singing around the house, using a bar of soap as a microphone,” he said. “She took piano and dance lessons in Terrace. She was a real tomboy when she was young and very shy until about age 12. When she started winning awards at music festivals she became more confident.”

Theresa was runner up in the Canadian Idol Contest. She has won many talent and beauty pageants. Besides beauty and talent, she also has sex appeal and business savvy – she’s in the Philippines’ 50 Best Bodies List. Her face and swimsuit-clad body graces the pages of glossy ads in In Flight Magazine.

“It’s every girl’s dream ... and she’s living it,” says Fenger. “She’s in the Top 50 Most Beautiful Bodies list and that’s a very prestigious list. She does it all, she sings, dances, models – that’s why she’s in such high demand. Her beauty and exotic looks come from her mixed background.”

Fenger is from Germany, his wife Virginia is from the Philippines. They met in Vancouver and for many years the family made Terrace their home. For the past three years, the couple has travelled to the Philippines and spent time there visiting their daughter.

She doesn’t land for long, though. Soon she’ll be off on tour to Hong Kong, Singapore, London and other major cities. In May, she performs in Rome and Florence. Fenger is happy to take a back seat to his daughter – even if it’s the back of a float.

“One of my best memories is when we were riding in a big important parade. She was waving and I was throwing candies to the crowd.

“On my last visit, I was sitting between a senator and heads of state – because of my daughter. I live like a rich man there.”

Theresa first made a name for herself in Canada. She worked on a major cruise line as a singer and at 18 became the lead singer of a nine-piece band from Vancouver formed by Henry Brown, a cousin of Jimi Hendrix. In 2006, she performed for a Tsunami Relief benefit concert in Terrace.
