Nestle has recalled variants of Kit Kat chunky flavored bars after some consumers found pieces of plastics in them.

This is what Nestle found after inspecting samples from KitKat snack bars' batch codes 23650457H, 22940457H, and 22950457H, prompting Nestle to immediately recall all products falling under these batches, which sold in the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Malta, Austria, Singapore, Philippines and Canada.

On our end, the Philippine Food and Drug Administration on Saturday advised local consumers who purchased Kit Kat products bearing the same batch codes to call Nestle hotlines for a return.

No other KitKat products were affected by the recall, FDA stressed.

"The concerned products are being recalled after seven consumers in the UK found a piece of plastic in the product. So far, we have not received any similar complaint in the Philippines," FDA noted.

Consumers can call Nestle hotlines 898-00-61 (Metro Manila) and 1-800-100-637853 (provincial areas) which are open 24 hours a day from Mondays to Sundays.
