Lovi Poe Wants 'Guni-Guni' Love Scene Cut

Singer-actress Lovi Poe is said to be bothered by the “wild“ love scene she did with new actor Benjamin Alves in their upcoming film of Tara Illenberger, “Guni-Guni“ that she wanted to sit in during the scene's editing.

“The thing is…ang nangyari kasi while we are shooting it...of course hindi naman kasi ako kumokontra kapag sinabi ng director namin. But then I really noticed after na parang it was too much, parang I did so much there,” Lovi said on “H.O.T. TV,” Aug. 19.

“Na-realize ko nga na parang gusto kong umupo doon,” she added referring to the editing room.

“Hindi ko naman gustong ipatanggal completely but then I just want to sit down kung paano nila ie-edit.”

“I’ve done it before…but then mas grabe pa ‘yung ginawa ko dito, naba-bother lang ako because it’s a bit, ‘yun nga, really too much.”

Lovi described the scene as “very animalistic,”

However, Mother Lily Monteverde, producer of Regal entertainment, did not allow Lovi to sit in during the editing of her love scenes in “Guni-Guni.” saying, "It’s art and Lovi should learn how to trust us. After all, kami ang nag-build up sa movie career niya,”

In the said "wild" love scene, Lovi acted as the possessed “twin“ of Mylene.

Lovi Poe plays Mylene, a medical student (and a tenant in a Cubao boarding house) in dire need of tuition fee who needed to decide whether she performs an abortion, in exchange of money. Her decision ultimately leads to a dark outcome and awakens a force that has laid quiet for years in the boarding house grounds.

Thereafter, she becomes tormented by nightmares of a dark twin, whose presence gets stronger as days pass, as strange things start to happen in the house. When one by one, the boarders die of unexplainable causes, Joanna (Empress Shuck) the resident psychic and Mylene's best friend struggles to understand the impending danger that she senses and decides to get to the bottom of the mystery; and as it unravels, they find themselves confronted by an angry soul that seeks justice.

Included in the cast are Benjamin Alves, Empress Schuck, Irma Adlawan, Gina Alajar, Jaime Fabregas, James Blanco, Ria Garcia, Neil Ryan Sese, Gerald Pesigan and Julia Clarete.
